Finance Analyst

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Brent Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate  which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Finance Analyst this role will be based at: HA9 0FJ – 3 days office based

The right candidate will:

• Production of timely and accurate financial reports for the Pension Fund including annual accounts and annual report. 
• Ensuring the financial ledger reconciles to relevant records for LGPS and Teachers’ Pensions contributions and payments. 
• Ensuring income and expenditure is completely and correctly reported in the Fund’s accounts. Resolving issues in the ledger where applicable.  
• To provide monitoring information as required to assist in the management of the Fund. 
• Processing year-end adjustments e.g. accruals, valuations, etc. 
• Completion of notes to the pension fund accounts with high quality working papers. 
• Ensuring that auditors’ queries are dealt with promptly. 
• Completion of statutory and statistical data returns in accordance with their requirements. 
• Support the production of reports to Pension Fund Committees and Boards. 

We require the following:

• Analysing information to identify trends and sound inferences from the information. Investigates issues that arise.
• Using Oracle Financial Systems
• Extracting data from systems, manipulating and producing information in a variety of formats.
• Completing and submitting government returns
