Finance Assistant

Location: Warrington (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary, up to 6 months initially

We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Finance Assistant to join a growing organisation based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their workload, and has a strong background in transactional finance.

This position will initially be offered on a temporary basis for up to six months. However, due to ongoing growth within the business, there may be opportunities for a permanent role in the future.

Working as part of a busy finance team, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Treasury administration and cash management support
• Payment processing
• Purchase ledger management
• Credit card reconciliations
• Processing and managing employee expenses
• Assisting with account reconciliations
• Supporting month-end finance activities
• Assisting with audit requirements when required
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

We are looking for a confident and capable finance professional who can hit the ground running and work effectively in a busy environment.

You will have:

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Strong experience of bank reconciliations
• Treasury and payment processing experience
• Purchase ledger experience
• Employee expenses processing experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good Excel skills
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

• Competitive hourly rate of £13.50 - £14.00 per hour depending on experience
