As a Finance Assistant in Derby, you will handle day-to-day finance tasks within the Manufacturing sector, helping the Accounting & Finance department keep accurate and useful records.

Our client is looking for someone studying towards their AAT or CIMA / ACCA and looking for a varied opportunity in Manufacturing.

Client Details

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is actively studying and looking for a varied role in a Manufacturing environment.

This role will suit someone who is looking to move away from a Transactional position into a role which also includes month end tasks and financial reporting.

Our client operates on a 5 days on site working model in Derby.

Description

• Supporting with month and year end closing
• Assisting in the preparation and processing of journals
• Reconciliations (various)
• Weekly and monthly financial reporting as required
• Supporting with audit processes
• Resolving supplier invoice queries
• Supporting with Accounts Payable and Receivable as required
• Adhoc duties supporting within the finance team

Profile

A successful 'Finance Assistant' should have:

• Experience in a similar position
• Studying towards (AAT / CIMA or ACCA (early stages)).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
• Ability to work confidently with financial data and supporting documentation.
• Good attention to detail when checking information and identifying discrepancies.
• Ability to organise finance records clearly and maintain accurate files.
• Confidence using standard office and finance systems to process information.
• Ability to manage routine tasks effectively and meet agreed deadlines.

Job Offer

• Permanent Finance Assistant position based in Derby.
• Salary up to £35,000, dependent on the level of experience.
