Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for a Finance Assistant to join an established finance team based at their Denton office.

This is a transactional and administration-heavy finance position, supporting a dedicated portfolio of retail clients. The role will suit someone with previous office or finance administration experience who is looking to develop their career within finance, as well as candidates already working towards an AAT qualification. 

You will be working within a busy environment where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are important, with responsibility for a range of day-to-day finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing a high volume of contractor timesheets and ensuring information is accurately recorded.
  • Uploading and processing journals within SAP.
  • Supporting the processing and administration of customer invoices.
  • Monitoring and managing work in progress (WIP) and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Reviewing financial information and resolving differences between systems, timesheets and invoices.
  • Processing subcontractor payments and supporting the administration of Euro transactions for a portfolio of clients with sites across Ireland.
  • Liaising with internal teams, contractors and clients to resolve queries and obtain missing information.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are processed within agreed timescales.

About You

  • Previous experience within a finance, accounts or office administration environment.
  • Comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, would be advantageous.
  • Ideally experienced with SAP or another finance/ERP system, although training can be provided.
  • Comfortable investigating discrepancies and following issues through to resolution.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing to a wider finance team.
  • Studying towards, or interested in studying towards, AAT would be advantageous.
