Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting strategic business decisions.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and board reports
Preparing order book reporting, cash flow forecasts, and financial performance analysis
Partnering with operational teams and senior leadership to provide financial insight and support commercial decision-making
Overseeing month-end reporting processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and control account reconciliations
Monitoring financial reporting dashboards and key business performance indicators
Supporting statutory reporting requirements and external audit activities
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls
Supporting business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
Managing, mentoring, and developing a Finance Assistant
Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting processes
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Finance Business Partner will have:
CIMA or ACA qualification (or be working towards qualification)
Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager, or Audit role
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems knowledge
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach to process improvement and continuous development
Experience within construction, housing, engineering, or another project-based environment would be advantageous
Knowledge of COINS, Anaplan, or similar ERP systems would be beneficial
