Location: Sudbury
Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per year

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is passionate about driving business performance through insightful financial analysis, strategic support, and effective leadership.
As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will provide forward-thinking financial guidance, deliver meaningful business intelligence, and support decision-making across the organisation. You will also lead and develop the finance function while ensuring robust financial governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to support strategic business decisions.
- Lead, motivate and develop the finance, payroll and HR administration team.
- Coordinate and deliver the annual financial planning process.
- Prepare and review budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial support and evaluation for business development initiatives and investment proposals.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the business.
- Monitor expenditure trends and provide early warning indicators to senior management.
- Manage year-end audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
- Maintain strong financial controls and promote effective risk management practices.
- Act as Company Secretary, supporting governance processes and maintaining statutory records.
- Ensure payroll, pensions, HR administration and related returns are processed accurately and on time.
- Manage credit control processes and oversee debtor insurance reviews.
- Prepare and review business intelligence reports, KPIs and financial performance data.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
7-10 years' finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
At least 5 years' experience leading and developing teams.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office and ERP systems experience.
Financial modelling experience.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a professional accounting qualification.
- Previous payroll and HR administration experience.
