Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a Not-for-Profit Business that are offering this remote-based commercial opportunity with occasional travel to Manchester to facilitate collaboration with various key stakeholders.
The Finance Business Partner will work closely with Operational and Commercial Directors, providing insight, challenge and financial assurance to support better business decisions and long-term financial sustainability. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys business partnering, influencing senior stakeholders and using financial information to solve commercial and operational challenges, rather than simply reporting the numbers.

Duties will be varied and will include: -
- Finance business partner with both Operational and Commercial Directors.
- Provide regular strategic financial reviews, identifying emerging risks, pressures and opportunities.
- Analyse financial performance and develop practical options to improve performance and sustainability.
- Support significant commissioner discussions, providing financial insight on spend, performance, funding and contract variations.
- Provide finance input into bids, tenders and re-tenders, including pricing, assumptions and financial sustainability.
- Support the resolution of invoicing issues and overdue income alongside Accounts Receivable teams.
- Identify and escalate financial, funding and performance risks at an early stage.
- Deliver targeted finance training, coaching and guidance to non-finance colleagues.
- Work closely with FP&A, Financial Control and Financial Shared Services to ensure strategic advice is underpinned by robust financial analysis.
- Help operational colleagues understand financial information and the key levers available to improve performance.
They are looking for a commercially-minded finance professional who can combine strong financial analysis with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or actively studying and nearing completion.
- Experienced in a finance business partnering or management accounting position.
- Confident supporting budget holders and reviewing financial performance.
- Experienced in identifying financial risks and knowing when issues need to be escalated.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across finance and operational teams.
- Able to understand business models and identify the financial levers that can improve performance.
- Highly analytical, with strong financial and Excel skills.
- Confident explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and providing an objective financial perspective.
- Organised and able to prioritise effectively, focusing on the issues that will have the greatest impact.
