Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are proud to be representing a well-established and highly successful manufacturing business in Northamptonshire in the search for a Newly Qualified Finance Business Partner.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant looking to take their first step into a commercially focused finance role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working closely with experienced finance, engineering and operational teams, you'll gain invaluable exposure to the commercial side of the business, supporting key decision-making through insightful financial analysis, forecasting and business partnering. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and develop into a trusted commercial finance professional.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you'll:
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to provide financial insight and support.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and management reporting.
- Monitor project and operational costs, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Produce financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Build financial models and business cases.
- Support month-end reporting and performance analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement through reporting automation and process enhancements.
- Work with large data sets to deliver meaningful commercial insights.
About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to build a long-term career within manufacturing finance.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be due to qualify shortly).
- Experience in audit, management accounting or commercial finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience of Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx or similar reporting tools being advantageous.
- Experience using SAP or another ERP system would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the business.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in manufacturing and operational finance.
