Interim Finance Business Partner
I'm pleased to be supporting a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire that is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to join their team.
The Role

• Finance Business Partner
• Nottinghamshire District Council | Hybrid/Remote Working
• 6-12 month contract | ASAP Start

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner to designated service areas and budget holders.
• Support budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist with budget setting and year-end processes.
• Produce and review reconciliations, including debtor and control account reconciliations.
• Process journals and support monthly financial reporting.
• Attend meetings with managers and stakeholders across assigned directorates.
• Support small finance projects and service improvement initiatives.
• Escalate complex issues to senior finance colleagues where required.

Essential Experience

• Local government finance experience.
• Budget monitoring and forecasting.
• Reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Stakeholder management and business partnering.
• The ability to manage workload independently.
