Finance Continuous Improvement Specialist

We are currently working with one of the largest farming businesses in the UK, based in Lincolnshire, who is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Continuous Improvement Specialist to join its busy finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, improving processes and finding better ways of working. The business is looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, challenge existing processes and work closely with different departments to drive improvements across the organisation.

The Role

Working closely with the wider finance team and operational departments, you will review existing processes, identify areas for improvement and implement practical solutions that strengthen financial controls and improve the accuracy of reporting.

This is a role for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys problem solving and is confident challenging the way things have always been done. You will need to be comfortable working with different systems, understanding how information flows across the business and making sure improvements are implemented and maintained.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review existing finance processes, identify inefficiencies and take ownership of implementing improvements that strengthen accuracy, controls and efficiency.
  • Improve stock reconciliation processes, investigate discrepancies and work closely with operational teams to ensure inventory records are accurate and reliable.
  • Review how financial systems are being used, identify opportunities to improve reporting, data accuracy and processes, and support the implementation of more effective ways of working.
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations and other departments to understand challenges, improve communication and ensure processes are followed consistently.
  • Strengthen reconciliation procedures, improve data quality and introduce practical controls to reduce errors and support accurate financial reporting.

Required

  • Experience within food manufacturing, manufacturing, fresh produce, or agriculture (applications outside these sectors will not be considered).
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a finance role with a strong focus on continuous improvement, process development or financial controls.
  • Strong experience in inventory reconciliation, stock accuracy and investigating financial discrepancies.
  • Excellent systems knowledge, with the ability to understand, challenge and improve existing processes.
