Looking to build a career in finance? 

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Graduate to join a leading business based in Alfreton. This is a great opportunity for someone who has recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related subject and is keen to take the next step into a hands-on finance role.

You’ll be joining a supportive team, working closely with experienced finance colleagues and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities. They’ll want you to get involved, ask questions and really understand how the finance function works, rather than simply focusing on one area.

The role will give you a strong grounding in transactional finance alongside management accounts, allowing you to put the knowledge from your degree into practice while developing your commercial and technical skills.

• Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end processes and supporting the preparation of management accounts
• Producing financial reports and supporting analysis
• Supporting wider finance projects and initiatives
• Providing general support to the wider finance team
• Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops

You’ll receive full study support, alongside gaining practical experience within the finance team. As you become more confident and develop your knowledge, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibility and broaden your exposure across the business. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related subject
• Good Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A well-organised and proactive approach
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a small team
• A genuine willingness to learn and develop
