We are looking for an Accounts / Finance Manager to join our small but friendly team based in the beautiful Warwickshire Countryside. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company and working closely with the Director. We want someone who is hands on, ideally AAT qualified with good people skills.

Office based role Monday – Friday

Relaxed working atmosphere

Role requirements;

· Day to day bookkeeping duties, including purchase ledger invoices and bank transactions

· Bank Reconciliations

· Monitoring multi company bank accounts

· Control Account reconciliations

. Excel

· Raising Sales Ledger invoices to on-site tenants and intercompany invoicing.

· Credit Card transaction reconciliation, posting and processing of payments.

· Monthly payroll

· Raising of monthly plant hire invoices

· Assisting project managers, site managers and company director with ad-hoc financial reporting

· Monthly accounting journals

· Monthly reconciliation of fixed assets

· PAYE and NIC reconciliation for payment to HMRC

· CIS payments to subcontractors and completion of returns to HMRC

· Nominal Ledger understanding and entry of journals

· Submission of quarterly VAT returns for multiple sites

· Draft year end accounts to P&L & BS level, review and adjust where necessary before submission to external accountants.

· Assisting external accountants with year- end audit reports/queries

· Ad hoc duties to assist other members of the team, ensuring a smooth running of the office and the site.

· Management of Petty Cash system

Skills/experience required:

· AAT qualified or similar or qualified by experience

· Experience with Sage 50 accounts and Sage Payroll is a must

· Proficient with double-entry bookkeeping, with an excellent understand of key day-to-day financial activities.

· Previous experience of working hands on – financial management positions

· Experience in quarterly VAT return calculations and submissions.

· High competence with Microsoft office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

· Great attention to detail and strong administration and analytical skills

· Ability to manage own time and workload

· Comfortable getting stuck in with a ‘sleeves rolled up approach’

Knowledge of CIS and the construction industry an advantage
