Finance Manager

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a well established international manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering responsibility for the full finance function while managing a small, high-performing team.
Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, cashflow management and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a finance team of 6 direct reports
- Oversee the end-to-end finance function, ensuring the smooth running of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and cashflow management.
- Take ownership of month-end and year-end processes, delivering accurate and timely reporting to Group.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, operational reporting and weekly flash reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost centre reviews and business partnering with operational stakeholders.
- Oversee reconciliations, intercompany transactions, UK & Ireland VAT returns and statutory reporting.
- Monitor daily cashflow, approve payments and oversee supplier and customer account management.
- Support pricing and costing analysis, investigating variances and providing commercial insight.
- Present financial performance to the Senior Management Team and support strategic decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and enhance internal financial reporting.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Customer Care, HR and the wider Group.
You'll have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Experience leading or mentoring a finance team (essential)
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be advantageous
- Knowledge of imports/exports would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
