Finance Manager | Rochdale (4 days in office) | £65,000 - £75,000 | Manufacturing 

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a well established international manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering responsibility for the full finance function while managing a small, high-performing team.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, cashflow management and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a finance team of 6 direct reports 
  • Oversee the end-to-end finance function, ensuring the smooth running of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and cashflow management.
  • Take ownership of month-end and year-end processes, delivering accurate and timely reporting to Group.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, operational reporting and weekly flash reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost centre reviews and business partnering with operational stakeholders.
  • Oversee reconciliations, intercompany transactions, UK & Ireland VAT returns and statutory reporting.
  • Monitor daily cashflow, approve payments and oversee supplier and customer account management.
  • Support pricing and costing analysis, investigating variances and providing commercial insight.
  • Present financial performance to the Senior Management Team and support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance internal financial reporting.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, Customer Care, HR and the wider Group.
About You

You'll have:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Experience leading or mentoring a finance team (essential)
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of imports/exports would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
