About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to take on a pivotal role as the lead Finance Business Partner supporting the Billing, Debt & Collections operations. This position is crucial for delivering strategic financial insights and driving performance across the customer billing and debt lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the principal Finance Business Partner, translating operational performance into clear financial implications and actionable insights.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships across Operations, Finance, Data, and Technology, providing constructive challenges to assumptions and plans.
- Represent Finance in debt governance and performance forums, ensuring visibility of risks, opportunities, and key decisions.
- Develop integrated insights across Billing, Operations, and Collections to enhance the understanding of the cash value chain.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash collection and reduce bad debt, influencing operational strategies for better outcomes.
- Own monthly reporting for debt performance, cash recovery, and collections activity, ensuring clarity and precision in financial communications.
- Lead robust budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on operational drivers and scenario modelling.
- Drive a technology-first approach to collections, leveraging data for improved risk scoring and treatment optimisation.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
Essential Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial finance business partnering experience.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving business performance improvements.
- Background in high-volume retail or customer-facing operations would be great.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business performance.
- Confidence to challenge constructively and provide robust decision support
- Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Billing, Collections, Credit Risk, or Customer Operations.
- Knowledge of business transformation and change initiatives.
