Job Title: UK Accounting Manager

Reports to: UK Financial Controller

Departmental Function

Production of accurate management information on a monthly basis within established reporting timeframe

Production of robust financial forecasts

Report results to US parent company

Manage the finance team

Cash management

Provide support to other departments

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•Oversee month end close in required timeframe

•Produce and input period end journals

•Review/analysis of monthly results

•Report monthly/quarterly results to US parent

•Production of monthly forecasts for submission to US parent

•Point of contact with US Treasury regarding weekly payment runs

•Oversee collections from customers and intercompany receivables

•Preparation of information for internal/external auditors and manage the audit process

•Compliance and administration of Corporate and Indirect taxes

•Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function

•Preparation of customer P&L’s

•Provide additional financial information to support customer tenders and projects

•Provide training and communication to the business on financial items

•Budget/Forecasting for company and programs

•Variance Analysis

•Deliver against ad hoc requests

•Payroll

Candidate Profile:

•Qualified Accountant – ACCA/ACA/CIMA 5+yrs PQE

•Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines

•Experience of leading and managing a team effectively

•Strong Excel skills including experience of financial modelling

•Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively with non-finance individuals

•Team player

•Have an understanding of Information Security practices and is able to attain and maintain competency in those as prescribed by company policies.

•Ability to handle all personal data (whether that be of your employees, colleagues or your own) in confidence; with integrity and in a manner of which ensures appropriate security measures are met and adhered to, which include protection against unlawful processing or accidental loss, destruction or damage in line with GDPR compliance.
