Ready to take the next step in your finance career?
We're working with a growing and ambitious engineering business in Nottingham that's looking for a talented Finance Manager to join its team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with finance but is also looking for more responsibility, greater exposure to senior leadership and real opportunities to progress.
You'll be taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function, working closely with the leadership team and playing an important role in supporting the company's continued growth.
The Role
This is a varied position where no two days will be quite the same! You'll be responsible for producing financial reports, supporting monthly management accounts, forecasting and cashflow management, whilst ensuring the smooth running of the company's financial operations.
You'll oversee accounts payable and receivable, credit control, banking and reconciliations, alongside managing accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation.
You'll also take responsibility for VAT returns, payroll administration, employee expenses and supporting audit preparation, ensuring financial processes are accurate, efficient and well organised.
A key part of the role will be using Xero to manage and improve financial processes, helping the business make informed decisions as it continues to expand.
About You
We're looking for someone who has already gained solid experience in a senior finance position and is now ready to develop their career further.
You may currently be working as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Financial Controller and be looking for an opportunity where you can really make your mark.
You'll need strong experience with management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT and cashflow, alongside good Excel skills.
Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential.
Ideally, you'll be AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, although relevant practical experience is equally important.
Above all, we're looking for someone who is proactive, organised, confident working independently and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This isn't just another finance role. It's an opportunity to become a key part of an expanding business, work directly with senior decision-makers and help shape the finance function as the company grows.
With hybrid working, plenty of variety and real potential for career progression, this could be the perfect move for someone who's ready to take their career to the next level.
