Finance Manager in Andover, Hampshire

An established and successful business based in the Andover area is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, alongside providing support with HR administration.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of a broad range of accounting and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts to the senior management team.
• Manage fortnightly payroll and monthly salaries, ensuring everything is processed accurately and on time.
• Take responsibility for the sales and purchase ledgers, supporting effective cash flow management.
• Complete relevant HMRC, Companies House and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Reconcile variances and ensure financial information is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
• Provide administrative support to the Commercial Manager on a range of HR-related activities.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.
• Use and maintain established Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll systems.
• Work closely with senior management and colleagues across the business.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant finance, payroll and HR requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Strong practical experience across accounts and finance administration.
• Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with payroll, management accounts, ledgers and statutory reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organisation.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a strong focus on completing tasks accurately and on time.
• The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• A full UK driving licence would be desirable.
