Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Shirley, Solihull. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys managing a busy finance function while developing and supporting a small office-based team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, improving processes, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
  • Process and reconcile daily bank transactions, including maintaining invoice discounting schedules.
  • Produce weekly and monthly sales invoices using Sage 50 and a workforce management system.
  • Manage the purchase ledger and ensure accurate daily processing.
  • Oversee credit control activities to support healthy cash flow.
  • Complete monthly payroll reconciliations.
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior members of the finance team.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business.
  • Prepare and coordinate financial information for external auditors.
  • Monitor and improve cash flow management.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

You will be a proactive and commercially minded finance professional with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and enjoy driving continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience with invoice discounting is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working within a busy, growing organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining effective financial controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
