Finance Manager (Newly qualified)

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a growing, international business at an exciting stage of its development. The company are based in the Canterbury area however, you will be required to travel to other sites in the UK on a monthly basis.

This is a broad, hands-on finance role offering considerably more than traditional month-end reporting. Working closely with the senior finance leadership team, you will take responsibility for key areas of day-to-day finance while supporting the wider business with reporting, cash management, controls and commercial financial information.

You will also have end-to-end finance responsibility for multiple entities within the group, making this a particularly attractive opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience and gain genuine exposure within a fast-paced international environment.

The role could suit an experienced Finance Manager or an ambitious ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant, including someone looking to make their first move from practice into industry.

Duties include:

  • Preparing monthly management information, including P&L and balance sheet reporting
  • Maintaining robust month-end schedules and accurate financial records
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and monitoring overdue balances
  • Preparing and maintaining short-term cashflow forecasts
  • Supporting customer invoicing and expense management
  • Providing financial analysis and operational reporting to support business decision-making
  • Taking ownership of finance activities across multiple group entities
  • Preparing documentation and supporting the year-end and external audit process
  • Supporting tax, compliance, internal controls and finance policies
  • Maintaining high standards of financial data integrity
  • Helping to improve and document finance processes as the business continues to grow
  • Supporting finance systems projects, implementations and process improvements.
