SF are excited to be partnering exclusively with a fantastic client who have a new role as a Finance Manager based near Pride Park on a full time, permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a growing business that provides a great fun working environment with a dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have experience in managing a transactional team as well as preparing accounts.

This is a great opportunity for someone to come in with fresh ideas, elevate this role and team whilst implementing new processes and getting involved in applying AI to finance. Don't need experience in AI as has someone there but would need an interest in it.

Salary up to £60,000
Study support if required
Free on - site parking
1 - 2 days working from home
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 8am - 2pm Fri

Job purpose:

Reporting into the Group Finance Director, being an integral part of the Finance function supporting the GFD in terms of overseeing Tax, Treasury, General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Account Receivable for 7 UK entities.

Job duties:

- Co-ordinating tax matters relating to VAT and Corporation Tax, with the team
- Co-ordinating treasury matters, including FX, with the team
- Co-ordinating accounting / general ledger matters, including inter-companies, with the team
- Co-ordinating accounts receivable matters, including invoice financing, with the team
- Co-ordinating accounts payable matters, including supplier relationships, with the team
- Leading the annual audits at interim and final
- Overseeing external reporting to the ONS with the team
- Supporting with preparation of Management Accounts
- Preparing statutory reporting
- Working closely with the rest of the senior FIT team across UK and overseas
- Driving process & systems documentation, development, championing digitalisation
- Promoting a knowledge sharing and continuous improvement culture within Finance and across the wider business
- Developing and leading the team, focusing on coaching, guidance and prioritisation, supporting their daily activities where relevant

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience in managing team
- Good knowledge of transactional duties and able to support the team with queries/issues (Purchase/Sales Ledger)
- Experience in preparing Accounts (Management or Statutory Accounts)
- Must be able to come in and improve processes, elevate this role and have ideas about how to implement AI into finance
- Team player - Will be joining a fun, dynamic team
- Excellent attention to detail
