Finance Manager

Role: Finance Manager 
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000, DOE 
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire 

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is supporting a growing SME business based in Corby to recruit for an experienced Finance Manager. This is a hands-on, commercially focused position where you will work closely with senior leadership and teams across the business, helping to strengthen financial planning, improve processes and support decisions that positively impact profitability, cash generation and operational performance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cashflow planning, forecasting and ongoing monitoring.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activities.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support payroll processes and ensure HMRC compliance.
• Prepare VAT returns, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
• Provide financial insight to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
• Produce accurate financial reports, analysis and KPI information.
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Stock Management to improve working capital and stock control.
• Maintain strong financial controls and processes across the business.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and support external audits.
• Support, manage and develop the existing finance team, encouraging a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing finance processes and challenge inefficiencies. 

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar finance position.
• Strong knowledge of cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Knowledge of payroll administration, VAT returns and HMRC compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial software.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand the wider impact of financial decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in a growing SME environment.
• Commercially minded, organised and detail-focused.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
