Head of Finance, Castle Donington, 6-Month Contract £400 - £450 per day.  Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to join a growing and ambitious business on an initial six-month contract. This Head of Finance role is ideal for someone who can quickly assess, improve and enhance an existing finance function while supporting a wider business transformation programme.

The successful Head of Finance will work directly with the COO and senior leadership team, taking ownership of reporting, controls, commercial analysis and finance operations. This is a highly visible position where the Head of Finance will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one.

This business is entering a significant growth phase and requires a commercially focused Head of Finance who can provide robust financial leadership whilst helping build the foundations required for future expansion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of the finance function and management reporting processes
  • Producing accurate monthly management accounts and board reporting
  • Delivering commercial insight, analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning activities
  • Improving management information, KPIs and business performance reporting
  • Strengthening financial controls, governance and compliance processes
  • Driving improvements within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Managing statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit requirements
  • Partnering with operational teams to improve financial accountability
  • Supporting business growth initiatives, acquisitions and integration projects
  • Reviewing existing processes and implementing improvements
  • Developing finance team capability and supporting future organisational growth
  • Acting as a key member of the leadership team
What We're Looking For as the Head of Finance
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or senior finance leader
  • Strong background within SME or growing businesses
  • Experience delivering commercial finance support and business partnering
  • Strong management reporting and financial controls expertise
  • ERP systems experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Ability to operate independently and add value quickly
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of process improvement and change delivery
