Finance & Admin Officer – Hillingdon

Location: Hillingdon, London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Admin Officer with previous school-based experience to join a supportive and welcoming school in Hillingdon from September 2026. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of school finance and administration processes, with the ability to manage day-to-day financial tasks while providing efficient support to the wider school office.

This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked within a school or academy setting and is confident using school management systems including SIMS and/or Arbor. You will play a key role in supporting the School Business Manager and ensuring the smooth running of financial and administrative operations.

The Role:

• Manage daily finance and administrative processes within a busy school office environment
• Process invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments accurately and efficiently
• Support budget monitoring, financial reporting and general finance administration
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations and documentation
• Use SIMS and/or Arbor to maintain accurate pupil and administrative records
• Support with school data management, reporting and general office procedures
• Liaise with suppliers, parents, staff and external stakeholders professionally
• Assist with audits, compliance checks and financial processes
• Provide administrative support to the School Business Manager and wider leadership team
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous finance and administration experience within a school or academy setting is essential
• Experience using SIMS and/or Arbor is essential
• Strong understanding of school finance procedures and administrative systems
• Experience processing invoices, purchase orders and financial documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Professional communication skills and confidence working with staff, parents and external contacts
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
