We are looking for a proactive and analytical Finance & Operations Analyst to join a busy team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel and SAP skills to support a significant improvement project, helping to strengthen financial controls, improve data accuracy and drive operational efficiency.
My client specialises in aerospace manufacturing and would ideally welcome someone from this background, although this is desirable rather than essential.
Working closely with Finance and Operations teams, you will take ownership of a range of activities covering inventory management, stock reconciliation, fixed assets, financial reporting and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead SAP inventory and Work in Progress (WIP) data cleansing and reconciliation activities.
* Analyse ageing stock and identify opportunities to reduce inventory and improve working capital.
* Support stock verification, reconciliation and inventory reporting.
* Review and improve fixed asset records, ensuring accurate financial and SAP data.
* Reconcile stock transactions, goods receipts and supplier balances, including material returns.
* Manage and reduce outstanding GRNI balances, resolving discrepancies with suppliers.
* Review SAP manufacturing routings and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy.
* Support month-end activities, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
* Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, processes and operational efficiency.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical and comfortable working with large amounts of financial and operational data.
You must be confident engaging with stakeholders throughout the business and have the gravitas to communicate effectively and manage relationships across the entire supply chain.
Ideally, you will have:
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Previous experience using SAP.
* Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
* The confidence to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work with different departments.
* Previous experience in a Finance or Finance & Operations environment would be advantageous.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established operation and make a tangible difference to a well respected aerospace manufacturing business.
