Salary: Starting from £54,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £47,500 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Join L&Q's Finance Management Application Support Team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing the systems that underpin our finance function. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Systems Analyst to work within a collaborative Application Support Technology team, helping to optimise finance systems, improve user experience, and support business-critical processes.
As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will provide application support for finance management systems, ensuring users receive effective, timely support while contributing to system improvements and ongoing optimisation. You will use your strong Unit4 and SQL skills to troubleshoot issues, analyse data, support integrations, and maintain high-performing finance applications.
Finance systems are critical to delivering efficient and effective services across the organisation. We need someone who can help maintain stability, resolve technical and functional issues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, ensuring our finance systems meet business needs and support operational excellence.
This role sits within the Application Support Team in technology and reports to the Finance Systems Manager. You will work closely with colleagues across Technology, Finance, and wider business teams to ensure finance applications are well supported, maintained, and continuously improved.

Your impact in the role:
- To provide day-to-day support for finance management applications, with a strong focus on Unit4 systems.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, ensuring timely resolution and excellent service to users.
- Write and maintain SQL queries to support reporting, analysis, troubleshooting, and data validation.
- Support system upgrades, testing, configuration changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and recommend effective system solutions.
- Maintain system documentation, support materials, and knowledge articles.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and user experience.
- Ensure issues are managed in line with service standards and operational priorities.
- Finance teams and business stakeholders.
- Technology and Application Support colleagues.
- Third-party suppliers and system partners where required.
- Internal users across the organisation requiring finance systems support.
- Help maintain reliable, high-performing finance systems that support business continuity and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to improved service delivery through effective issue resolution and proactive support.
- Support continuous improvement through system enhancements, process optimisation, and user engagement.
- Strengthen data quality and reporting capabilities through effective SQL analysis and system management.
- Strong experience supporting finance systems, ideally within an application support environment.
- Good Unit4 skills and experience supporting finance management applications.
- Good SQL skills, including querying and troubleshooting data issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
