Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take the next step in your career?

We're recruiting a Finance Team Leader / Finance Supervisor to join a well-established business in Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounting knowledge who enjoys leading by example while remaining hands-on in the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Working Monday to Friday, you'll support the finance team, ensure accurate financial reporting and play a key role in maintaining high accounting standards.

The Role

  • Support and supervise the day-to-day activities of the finance team.
  • Prepare and review prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Complete VAT returns and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist with month-end processes and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 (preferred but not essential).
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the finance team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Finance Team Leader, Finance Supervisor or Senior Accounts role.
  • Strong understanding of prepayments, accruals, VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Sage 50 experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and develop a small team.
