Financial Accountant

Location: Banbury (Hybrid - 1-2 Days On-site per Week)
Salary: Around £60,000
Contract: Permanent
Travel: Occasional international travel (UK & Europe)

A global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Polish speaking Financial Accountant to join its UK finance team. This is a key role within a long‑established international group, offering exposure to cross‑border operations, modern systems and a collaborative, people‑focused culture.
The position is based in Banbury, with 1-2 days per week on-site once settled, and includes occasional international travel to European sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow
• Manage the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
• Perform reconciliations and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
• Act as the main contact for internal and external audits
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring
• Analyse financial data to identify improvements and cost‑saving opportunities
• Provide reporting and insight to support management decision‑making

About You

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role (manufacturing experience beneficial)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and month‑end processes
• Confident in using accounting systems (SAP Business One experience is an advantage)
• Excellent Excel and data‑analysis skills
• High attention to detail with a structured, accurate approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Proactive problem‑solver who can manage deadlines and work independently
• Comfortable working in an international environment with occasional travel
• Fluent Polish speaker, with a good level of English (written and spoken)
