Financial Accountant / Property Finance Manager

Location: Slough, Berkshire Rate: £409.09 per day Umbrella Contract: Temporary / Contract

We are recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant / Property Finance Manager to provide strategic financial management and business partnering support within a local authority Property Services function.

This is a key role supporting the effective management of revenue and capital budgets, financial forecasting, property investment and savings programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and monitoring of property revenue and capital budgets.
• Review and challenge expenditure, identifying overspends, financial pressures and savings opportunities.
• Develop accurate monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Support Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) planning, including property disposals and changes in income.
• Analyse property expenditure, income, capital projects and savings programmes.
• Provide financial advice and challenge to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and elected members.
• Act as the key finance business partner for Property Services.
• Ensure compliance with local government financial regulations, accounting standards and Council policies.
• Support effective financial management and value for money across the property estate.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, CCAB or equivalent.
• Significant experience in financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience within local government, public sector finance or property finance.
• Strong financial analysis and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience challenging expenditure and delivering savings or efficiency programmes.

£409.09 per day Umbrella | Slough, Berkshire
