UK Financial Analyst

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next interim opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a UK Financial Analyst to join a well-established global organisation based in Darlington on a temporary contract running until January 2027.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £20.45 per hour alongside a hybrid working arrangement, with approximately 2-3 days per week in the office.Working as part of a high-performing finance team, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the UK business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end activities to support the production of accurate monthly financial statements.
• Prepare complex financial analysis and management reports to support decision-making.
• Partner with operational teams and budget holders to develop annual budgets, expense forecasts and staffing projections.
• Produce financial performance reports, including variance analysis, cost analysis and statistical reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
• Assist with ad hoc financial projects and business analysis as required.

About You:

• Previous experience in a Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data.
• Confident working with budgets, forecasts and month-end processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
