Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the organisation's financial performance and lead the finance and administration function. Responsibilities will include preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, cash flow reporting, and year-end financial statements. You will monitor key performance indicators, analyse departmental profitability, provide insightful financial reporting to senior stakeholders, and partner with operational teams to enhance business performance. The role will also involve managing working capital, overseeing compliance and financial controls, liaising with external auditors and financial institutions, and supporting regulatory requirements within the business. As a member of the senior management team, you will play a key role in influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the business continues to achieve its commercial objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified (or possess equivalent relevant experience) and have proven experience within a management accounting or finance leadership role.The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Experience leading and developing finance and administrative teams
  • Excellent Excel and wider IT systems knowledge
  • The ability to produce accurate financial reporting and meaningful business insights
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
  • Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience within a multi-site or customer-focused business would be advantageous, as would knowledge of regulated finance products and associated compliance requirements.
