Overview
We require a manager to help us deliver exceptional client service to our client base. A Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the team on a day-to-day basis and to build and sustain external and internal client relationships. You have responsibility for the management of a portfolio of clients including fee negotiations, control of billings and cash collections within the firm’s criteria.
In managing an assignment you will determine resource requirements, monitor team progress against budget and timeframes, review work of more junior members of the team and resolve issues prior to Director or Partner review where applicable.
As a manager you will play a key role in developing relationships with existing clients and proactively seeking out new opportunities for BSO as well as engaging with other departments to ensure a cross-stream approach to business development activities.
You'll be someone with:
- ACCA or ACA qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience using Caseware, although this is preferred rather than essential.
- Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102, including the preparation and review of consolidated accounts. Knowledge of IFRS would be advantageous.
- Experience managing a portfolio of client assignments and delivering work to a high standard.
- Previous people management experience, with the ability to lead, coach and develop team members.
- A track record of identifying business development opportunities and helping to generate new client leads.
- At BDO, we’ll help you achieve your personal goals and career ambitions, and we have programmes, resources, and frameworks that provide clarity and structure around career development.
