Financial Reporting Manager

Orka Financial is recruiting a Financial Reporting Manager for a growing organisation in the healthcare sector. This permanent, full-time role is based in Basingstoke and offers hybrid working, with three days in the office and two from home. The salary is £70,000–£75,000 plus a £5,000 bonus and benefits.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle and help a multi-entity finance team produce dependable information for senior decision-makers. Alongside delivering the numbers, you will improve controls, simplify processes and turn financial performance into practical actions for colleagues outside finance. The role also includes leadership of two finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close, management accounts and reporting timetables
• Prepare clear reporting packs, variance analysis and concise commentary
• Maintain strong balance-sheet, journal, intercompany and financial-control disciplines
• Support budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and the year-end audit
• Work with senior managers to improve financial understanding and accountability
• Develop reporting processes, systems, documentation and team capability

What you will bring

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification
• At least two years' post-qualified experience in reporting, management accounting, control or group finance
• Strong month-end, management accounts, financial analysis and balance-sheet experience
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using ERP and reporting tools
• Sound technical-accounting judgement and the ability to explain results clearly
• A practical, improvement-focused approach with strong attention to detail

Experience in a multi-entity or international environment, group reporting packs, SAP, Cognos or a major audit firm would be useful. Some occasional travel to other UK sites is required.
