An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer to join a professional and growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, testing, fault finding and commissioning of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial and customer sites.
This position would suit an experienced engineer who has a strong technical background, takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to providing a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, test and maintain fire alarm systems.
- Carry out commissioning and handover of new and existing fire alarm systems.
- Complete fault finding and diagnostic work efficiently.
- Undertake routine maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
- Ensure fire alarm systems are operating correctly and in accordance with relevant standards.
- Complete commissioning certificates, service reports and other required documentation.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and other contractors.
- Identify and report any defects, remedial works or compliance issues.
- Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Maintain a professional standard of workmanship at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer will ideally have:
- Previous experience working with fire alarm systems.
- Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience.
- Knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations.
- The ability to read and understand system drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Relevant fire alarm qualifications and manufacturer training would be advantageous.
