Fire Alarm Engineer – Retail Installations & Commissioning
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Van & Fuel Card (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a growing team, working on retail projects nationwide.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who has a strong background in fire alarm installation and commissioning, looking for a long-term career with a company that offers progression and stability.
The Role:
- Installation, commissioning and servicing of fire alarm systems across retail environments
- Working on large-scale retail projects nationwide
- Completing installation, testing and commissioning works to a high standard
- Fault finding and ensuring systems are compliant with current regulations
- Working independently and alongside project teams
- Travelling to sites and staying away when required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the fire alarm industry
- Strong background in retail installations
- Experience with fire alarm installation and commissioning is essential
- Must hold relevant fire alarm qualifications including FIA, FireQual or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible to travel and lodge away from home when required
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
Desirable:
- SMSTS qualification would be a bonus
- Experience working on large commercial/retail projects
Package:
- Salary £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

- 40-hour working week
- Time and third paid after basic hours
- Saturday work paid at time and a half
- Sunday work available and paid accordingly
