About the Client
Our Client provides fire alarm installation, commissioning and maintenance services across a varied customer base, from individual retail units to office blocks. This opportunity suits an experienced engineer with skills across multiple fire alarm systems.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance across customer sites.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs using technical knowledge and practical troubleshooting skills.
- Undertake small works, installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Support larger installation projects, with opportunities to develop installation skills.
- Deliver work in accordance with applicable British Standards and health and safety requirements.
- Manage scheduled tasks and meet deadlines while providing a professional customer service.
Qualifications
- At least seven years’ experience in fire alarm maintenance and installation.
- FIA Installation and Maintenance module qualification.
- Experience with both open and closed protocol fire alarm systems.
- Electrical design experience incorporating fire alarm systems.
- Working knowledge of BS 5839 and current health and safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Gent and Notifier panel experience is particularly desirable; the upper salary range is available to engineers with broader installation, commissioning and servicing expertise.
