An established and growing Fire & Security department is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to strengthen its engineering team in the York area.

The business operates across multiple technical disciplines and has built its reputation around delivering reliable, compliant and high-quality solutions for its customers. With continued growth and a strong focus on developing its people, this is an opportunity to join a supportive engineering environment with the stability of a long-term local contract.

Role Overview

  • Service, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and remedial works across a range of Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting systems 
  • Complete accurate job sheets, method statements and system documentation 
  • Assist peers with technical support when required 
  • Manage your own stock, material and tools 
  • Cover the YO postcode area for a key contract 
  • Maintaining professional relationships with customers and site contacts

Systems Experience

Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous:

  • ADT
  • Aico
  • Apollo
  • EMS
  • FireCell
  • Gent
  • Hochiki
  • Kentec
  • Minerva
  • Nittan
  • Notifier / Honeywell
  • Notifier / Hyfire
  • Protec
  • Zeta
  • Ziton

Experience with installation and commissioning would also be beneficial, as would exposure to other electronic security systems including CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.
