Location: Yorkshire, Manchester & Lancashire
Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + overtime, travel & call-out payments
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently working with a well-established client who is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer based in Yorkshire or the surrounding areas, with responsibility for servicing, maintaining, installing and commissioning fire and security systems across the Yorkshire & Manchester areas.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, small works, installation, commissioning and reactive call-outs on a range of fire and security systems at commercial and client sites throughout the region.

The role will involve:

  • Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and security systems
  • Carrying out small works and system modifications
  • Installing new fire and security systems
  • Commissioning and testing newly installed systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
  • Attending customer call-outs when required
  • Completing service reports and relevant documentation
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service
  • Travelling as required

The Package

  • Basic salary up to £40,000

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer and be confident working independently across customer sites.

You should have:

  • Previous experience within the fire and/or security industry
  • Experience with servicing, maintenance, small works, installation and commissioning
  • Strong fault-finding and technical skills
  • A professional approach and good customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Relevant industry qualifications or experience would be advantageous
