Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire Door Carpenter for a temporary assignment across two sites in the SE3 area of London. The successful candidate will carry out fire door maintenance and remedial works, ensuring all repairs meet current fire safety standards and compliance requirements.

Key Duties

• Carry out repairs and remedial works to existing fire doorsets
• Replace/adjust hinges, closers, locks, latches, seals, and ironmongery
• Fit intumescent strips and smoke seals where required
• Adjust door leaves and frames to compliant tolerances
• Minor carpentry repairs to frames, linings, and associated components
• Ensure all fire doors remain operational and compliant after repair
• Record completed works and report any doors requiring replacement
• Work safely in occupied buildings with minimal disruption

Requirements of this Fire Door Carpenter role:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter / Joiner specialising in fire doors
• Previous fire door repair or fire door maintenance experience
• Good understanding of fire door compliance standards
• BM TRADA / FIRAS / equivalent fire door training desirable
• Own tools essential

Location / Travel

• Based across 2 sites in SE3, London
• Ability to travel between sites during working hours
