Fire Door Carpenter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join a recognised passive fire protection specialist contractor on a long-term freelance basis. The initial project will be based in London, with further works available across surrounding areas. The successful candidate will collect doors and materials from a storage facility located close to the initial project. Initially contract will be located around the West London region with future workload throughout London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing and replacing fire doors within social housing properties.
• Collecting doors and materials from the local storage facility.
• Carrying out associated passive fire protection and firestopping works when required, including filling cavity barriers and other remedial works.
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with relevant fire safety requirements.
• Travelling between sites as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous social housing experience
• Previous experience installing fire doors.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Working at Heights.
• Manual Handling.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Flexible and willing to travel between sites.

Package:

• £225 – £235 per day CIS / Self-Employed
• Van provided
• Fuel card provided
• Long-term freelance opportunity.
• 8am – 4pm working hours
• Immediate start available
• Flexible on candidate location, provided they are comfortable travelling.
