Fire Door Carpenter

Please note you must have a blue CSCS card and qualificiation in carpentry to be considered for this role.

 A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on a large project, carrying out upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames. The works will be based on one site in Derby and run for around 2 weeks. .

The successful candidate will have:

• At least two year’s experience working with fire doors
• A strong background in carpentry and joinery
• Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
• NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
• Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
• Experience working on FRA contracts

Roles and responsibilities

• Carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
• Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
• Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
• Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work

• Self-employed works on a CIS basis
• £220.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked

This vacancy is due to run for around 2 weeks and starts from Monday 11th May. Potential for future works if goes well.
