Fire Door Contracts Manager

CIG SW Ltd is looking for a Fire Door Contracts & Compliance Manager to take responsibility for managing and developing our fire-door operation across Bristol and the South West.
This is a key role covering BM TRADA compliance, contracts management, client liaison, procurement, documentation, installer training and commercial performance.
Previous BM TRADA Q-Mark experience is preferred but not essential. We will consider a strong Contracts Manager with practical carpentry and fire-door installation experience who can undertake further specialist training.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage BM TRADA Q-Mark compliance, records and audits.
- Manage fire-door projects from enquiry through to completion.
- Provide clients with clear options, recommendations and solutions.
- Programme works and coordinate installers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Order doors, ironmongery and associated materials.
- Maintain accurate surveys, installation records, certification and handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance software is used correctly across all projects.
- Train and support carpenters in compliant installation and recording procedures.
- Carry out quality inspections and site audits.
- Prepare quotations and manage costs, variations and project performance.
- Identify risks early and report clearly to clients and directors.
The successful candidate will have:
- Practical carpentry and fire-door installation experience.
- Experience managing construction projects, contracts or site teams.
- A good understanding of fire-door compliance.
- Strong organisational, administrative and client-facing skills.
- Commercial awareness and experience with procurement and pricing.
- Confidence using digital compliance and project-management software.
- A full UK driving licence.
BM TRADA Q-Mark, FDIS, FIRAS, OneTrace, SMSTS or SSSTS experience would be advantageous.
Package:
- £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience.
