Fire Door Remediator

We are looking for experienced and motivated Fire Door Remediators to join our growing project team for the London and South East prgramme of works. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out detailed fire door inspections, identifying defects, completing remedial works, and ensuring all fire doors comply with current fire safety legislation and industry standards. Survey experienec would also be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fire door surveys and inspections.
• Assess fire doors against current regulations and manufacturer requirements.
• Record findings accurately using digital inspection software.
• Carry out remedial works including:
  • Replacing or adjusting hinges, locks, latches, closers, and seals.
  • Installing or replacing intumescent strips and smoke seals.
  • Repairing door leaves, frames, and ironmongery.
  • Adjusting door clearances and ensuring correct operation.
• Ensure all completed work complies relevant fire safety standards.
• Produce clear reports, photographs, and recommendations.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and residents.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, health and safety, and customer service.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience surveying and remediating fire doors.
• Good understanding of fire door regulations and passive fire protection.
• Competent in fitting and adjusting fire door components.
• Ability to identify non-compliance and recommend suitable remedial actions.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
