Fire & Flood Restoration Technician at Masterfix Claims Solutions, London

Masterfix Claims Solutions · Direct employer

Pay not stated

London · Permanent

Looking for a new career opportunity? Practical, motivated and keen to learn new skills?

Whether you’re an experienced restoration technician, have a background in construction or property maintenance, or are looking to start a completely new career, we want to hear from you.

No previous restoration experience is necessary. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

At Masterfix, you’ll do more than clean up after an incident. You’ll play a vital role in helping restore homes, businesses and properties following water, fire and other forms of damage, using specialist equipment and professional restoration techniques.

We’re a growing specialist property restoration and remediation company working with insurers, loss adjusters, property managers, contractors and private clients.

We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team and develop their skills within this specialist industry.

The Role

You’ll attend residential and commercial properties across London and surrounding areas, working alongside experienced technicians and our operations team to carry out restoration and remediation works.

Your responsibilities will include:

Water extraction, cleaning, drying and restoration

Assisting with moisture investigations and surveys

Installing, monitoring and removing specialist drying equipment

      Structural, cavity and pressure drying

      Fire and smoke damage cleaning

      Mould remediation and specialist cleaning

Controlled strip-out and removal of damaged materials

Using specialist drying, filtration and restoration equipment

Recording moisture readings, photographs and job information

Communicating professionally with customers and colleagues

Maintaining safe, clean and organised working environments

Don’t worry if you’re unfamiliar with some of these activities. We’ll provide the training and support needed to develop your knowledge and confidence.

As your experience grows, you’ll have the opportunity to take on greater technical responsibilities and develop specialist restoration skills.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in finding the right person, not just the right CV.

You don’t need previous fire and flood restoration experience, and while a basic understanding of buildings or construction would be beneficial, it is not essential.

What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Ideally, you’ll be:

Practical, hands-on and willing to learn new skills

    Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working in customers’ homes and commercial properties

    Professional, polite and customer-focused

Organised with good attention to detail

Capable of following instructions and working safely

Confident using basic technology to record job information

Motivated to develop a long-term career

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Previous experience in construction, property maintenance, cleaning, restoration or a related trade would be an advantage but is not required.

Existing IICRC or BDMA qualifications and experience with specialist drying equipment are welcomed, but not expected.
