Our client is a well-established and growing organisation looking for a competent and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their team, covering a portfolio of sites across the East and West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident working independently, has strong technical knowledge and is passionate about maintaining high standards of fire safety.

The Role

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive fire risk assessments across a range of commercial and residential premises, identifying hazards and providing practical recommendations to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out detailed fire risk assessments across a varied property portfolio.
  • Identifying fire hazards and assessing associated risks.
  • Producing clear, accurate and professional assessment reports.
  • Providing practical recommendations and remedial advice to clients.
  • Supporting clients with fire safety compliance and improvement plans.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant fire safety legislation, guidance and industry standards.
  • Managing your own workload and diary across the East and West Midlands.
  • Ensuring all assessments are completed to a consistently high professional standard.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor with a strong understanding of fire safety legislation and risk assessment methodology.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments.
  • Relevant fire safety qualifications and/or professional accreditation.
  • A good working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated guidance.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A professional and client-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel throughout the East and West Midlands.
