Fire Safety Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Project Manager on behalf of a leading London-based organisation with a substantial residential and supported housing portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to take a leading role in the delivery of major fire safety works, remediation programmes and building safety projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Asset Investment and Programmes, you will help ensure the successful delivery of the organisation's fire safety major works programme, while providing technical expertise across the property portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing major fire safety works and remediation programmes
- Managing Employer's Agents, specialist consultants and works contractors
- Undertaking fire safety surveys, property inspections and quality assurance
- Providing technical advice on fire safety and building safety matters
- Managing contracts, variations, valuations and project budgets
- Ensuring statutory, regulatory and building safety obligations are progressed
- Following through recommendations from FRAs, stock condition surveys and HHSRS inspections
- Maintaining accurate asset management and compliance information
- Supporting the development of future fire safety programmes
- Deputising for the Head of Asset Investment and Programmes when required
About You
You will ideally have:
- A recognised professional qualification in Building Safety / Fire Safety
- Strong knowledge of fire safety in residential blocks and major works programmes
- Good understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and relevant housing legislation
- At least 3 years' experience managing complex fire safety projects/programmes
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and Employer's Agents
- Strong project, contract and budget management skills
- Experience within social, affordable or supported housing would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The role involves regular travel across the organisation's London property portfolio, with some homeworking. A full UK driving licence and access to appropriately insured transport are required.
