Fire Stopper

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Firestopper to join a long-term freelance project based across East London.

This is a long-term opportunity for a reliable and experienced Firestopper, with consistent work available for the right individual.

The Role

• Carrying out firestopping and passive fire protection works across residential and social housing properties.
• Installing firestopping systems including mastic, batt, collars, wraps and other associated products.
• Completing remedial firestopping works in line with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Working to the required quality, safety and compliance standards.
• Completing works efficiently and professionally while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Working across multiple sites throughout East London.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection – essential.
• Previous experience working as a Firestopper / Passive Fire Protection Operative.
• Good knowledge of firestopping and compartmentation works.
• Manual Handling qualification.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Working at Height.
• Must have your own van.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must be able to work on a self-employed/CIS basis.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
• Social housing or occupied residential experience would be advantageous.

Package

• Up to £210 per day, dependent on experience.
• Long-term freelance work.
• Self-employed / CIS.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
