Take on a long-term CIS contract paying £200–£220 per day, with a fuel allowance paid on top, immediate starts available, and the option of paid accommodation when working further from home. As a Fire Stopper, you'll be working on a variety of projects across the Birmingham area with a well-established passive fire protection contractor delivering high-quality work across multiple sectors.
You'll be joining a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of work across social housing, residential, commercial, hospitals, schools, and universities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Stopper looking for consistent work, varied projects, and the flexibility of subcontractor (CIS) employment.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has worked as a Fire Stopper, Passive Fire Operative, Fire Protection Installer, or Passive Fire Installer.
As a Fire Stopper, you will be:
  • Installing batt and mastic fire stopping systems
  • Fitting cavity barriers and fire sealing products
  • Completing penetration sealing works
  • Carrying out all aspects of passive fire protection
  • Working across social housing, residential, commercial, healthcare, and education projects
  • Ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
  • Previous experience carrying out passive fire protection works
  • A Blue CSCS Card
  • Relevant fire stopping qualifications or certifications
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Working at Heights training
  • Manual Handling certification
  • A valid DBS check
  • Own van and tools

Location & travel This role is based mainly within a 30-mile radius of Birmingham, with occasional work further afield when required. Paid accommodation is available for distant projects, or you can choose to travel each day. Birmingham offers excellent transport links via the M6, M5, M42 and M40, making travel between sites straightforward.
