First Aider

School First Aider – Telford

Location: Telford
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced First Aider to work within a school in Telford, providing first aid and welfare support to pupils and staff throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will hold a valid, in-date First Aid qualification and ideally have previous experience working in a school or similar setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing first aid to pupils and staff when required

• Responding appropriately to accidents, injuries and illness

• Assessing and treating minor injuries in line with your level of training

• Maintaining accurate records of first aid incidents

• Supporting pupils who become unwell during the school day

• Contacting parents/carers where necessary and following school procedures

• Ensuring first aid supplies are appropriately maintained

• Working closely with school staff to promote pupil health, safety and wellbeing

• Maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a valid and in-date First Aid qualification

• Previous First Aid experience is essential

• Previous school or education experience would be desirable

• Calm and confident when dealing with emergencies

• Caring, approachable and professional

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

Vetting Requirements:

All candidates will be required to complete our full safeguarding and vetting process before commencing work.
