We're looking for two skilled Fleet Engineers to join a close-knit engineering team maintaining one of the UK's busiest airport fleets. 1 x Night Shift

Shift Pattern

Days: 06:00 – 18:00

Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

The Role

Working from a modern workshop, you'll maintain, diagnose and repair a diverse fleet of specialist airport vehicles and equipment, while also responding to occasional breakdowns across the airport site.

You'll be working on:

  • Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Aircraft tugs
  • Baggage trolleys
  • Electric vehicles
  • Vans
  • HGVs
  • Minibuses
  • Airport buses
  • Specialist airport vehicles

This role offers far more variety than a traditional commercial workshop, with many vehicles incorporating hydraulic systems and specialist equipment.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in engineers with strong mechanical skills and, most importantly, the right attitude.

You'll ideally have experience working on:

  • HGVs
  • PSV or bus fleets
  • Plant or agricultural equipment
  • Military vehicles
  • Ground Support Equipment
  • Heavy mechanical or hydraulic systems

Engineers from military backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply, especially those with experience maintaining hydraulic or specialist mechanical equipment.

The Team

You'll be joining a team of engineers who work closely together to keep airport operations running safely and efficiently. Previous airport experience isn't essential full support will be provided while you learn the fleet and operating environment.

Security Requirements

As this is an airside role, successful applicants must be able to obtain an Airport Airside Pass, which includes:

  • A five-year employment history
  • No unexplained gaps in employment
  • Standard airport security and background checks
