We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK-based accident repair group, for the position of Fleet Manager at their flagship site in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee a large and diverse vehicle fleet across multiple locations in the UK. Our client is seeking a highly skilled professional dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction within a modern working environment.

Duties of the Fleet Manager:
  • Manage and ensure compliance of a fleet of over 550 vehicles, including courtesy cars and commercial vehicles
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections, MOTs, and driver compliance
  • Analyse fleet performance, utilisation, and operational costs, implementing KPIs and continuous improvement strategies
  • Coordinate vehicle allocation and availability to optimise customer service and repair capacity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers, leasing providers, and maintenance partners
  • Ensure all fleet operations adhere to DVSA regulations and relevant road transport legislation
  • Handle vehicle documentation, compliance records, and reporting requirements
  • Lead initiatives to improve fleet efficiency and safety standards
Requirements of the Fleet Manager:
  • CPC licence or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and road transport legislation
  • Proven experience managing a large and varied fleet, including cars, vans, and HGVs
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and transportation regulations
